I create one-of-a-kind hand dyed clothing by combining thoughtful selection with experimental dye techniques. Each garment begins as a carefully chosen high quality piece made from natural, absorbent fibers such as cotton or rayon. I apply a variety of folding and binding methods, then use powdered dyes in combination with ice to produce organic unpredictable dye splitting effects. Techniques like include gravity dying and much dying further enhance the visual depth and individuality of each.
